REACH obligations
The European REACH Regulation entered into force on 1 June 2007. This Regulation has lead to major changes in the EU chemicals politics by replacing around 40 previous pieces of legislation. The idea behind the REACH Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) is to strengthen human health and environmental safety aspects of chemicals manufactured, imported or used in the EU by increasing the data availability while decreasing human and environmental risks potentially posed by chemicals. Services and support for non-EU manufacturers
Although REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) is a European regulation, also non-EU manufacturers are affected by this legislation if they export their substances, formulations and articles to the European Union.

Regulation (EC) No 1331/2008 of the European Parliament and Council establishing a common authorisation procedure for food additives, food enzymes and food flavourings lays down a common procedure for the assessment and authorisation of food additives, food enzymes and food flavourings in view of updating the Community lists of permitted substances defined in the corresponding sectoral food laws. Feed additives are an integral part of modern animal husbandry which aims to improve animal production, performance and welfare. Such additives may not be put on the European market without authorisation.
